Are you passionate about digital humanities (DH) and eager to connect with a dynamic community across North Carolina and beyond? Looking to collaborate, share your expertise, or support DH work in higher education, K–12, libraries, archives, museums, and more? We want to hear from you!
The Digital Humanities Collaborative of North Carolina (DHC-NC) is a volunteer-led community of scholars and practitioners promoting digital humanities across the state. We’re currently seeking nominations for a Clerk (Secretary).
This role offers an exciting opportunity to help shape DH efforts in North Carolina while building connections across institutions, disciplines, and communities.
Who should apply or be nominated?
Anyone engaged or interested in digital humanities—whether you’re a graduate student, faculty member, independent scholar, librarian, or curator, we’re looking for individuals committed to building a strong, inclusive DH network.
Terms are 1-3 years depending on the position and may be renewable.
Available Position
Clerk/Secretary (1 year renewable term): The secretary attends the monthly DHC-NC Executive Board meetings to assist with meeting minutes, institute coordination, to care for the organization’s operations, and to support new initiatives.
Learn more about the positions and the DHC-NC’s operations in our working Constitution. Following their term on the Executive Board, members may join the Advisory Board for a one-year term to pass along institutional knowledge and provide additional support to the DHC-NC as needed.
All new elected officials begin their term(s) on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 and will be in those positions through June 30, 2026, unless noted otherwise in their term length.
