Constitution Feedback & DHCI Town Hall

Last week, UNCG hosted our first DHCI (formerly TDHI). President-Elect Maggie Murphy led organizing efforts and put together a wonderful program. Conversations ranged from community-based art practice to building community archives to engaging communities in public scholarship.

On Friday, March 6th, the DHC-NC hosted a town hall. The slides below outline our discussion, including what we’ve accomplished this year (organizational structure & new institutes) and where we’re headed in the next (elections, working groups, more institutes & funding initiatives).

We also announced a public feedback period for our draft constitution, which the Executive Board has been developing over the last few months. Please take a few minutes to read and provide feedback on the draft here. Comments will be accepted through April 17th. After the public comment period, the Executive Board will review feedback, discuss and implement any changes, and then vote on whether to adopt the constitution.

Note: The original deadline for comments has been extended from March 20th to April 17th due to the widespread effects of the pandemic. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
